HOW TO BURN A SCENTED CANDLE?
LEISURE scented candles are handmade in Poland from raw materials from sustainable sources. Because they are natural raw materials, they require special treatment. How to burn a scented candle to enjoy it as long as possible? Learn about our candle burning rules!
Store the candle at room temperature, away from all sources of heat and direct exposure to sunlight.
The first burning of the candle should last about 3-4 hours so that the wax melts over the entire surface. This is especially important when using the candle for the first time to avoid the undesirable effect of “candle tunneling”.
To ensure proper combustion, make sure there are no drafts from open windows or doors nearby.
Extinguish the candle by covering the wick with a special candle extinguisher.
Do not burn the candle for longer than 4 hours to avoid overheating the wax and glass.
Never burn the candle to the end, leave at the bottom approx.
8-10 mm of wax to prevent excessive heating of the glass.
If you notice that the candle is not burning evenly, center the wick with a long tool (e.g. a toothpick). Do this after the candle is extinguished, when the wax is melted enough to change the position of the wick.
If the wick becomes brittle, remove the wick particles from the wax.
Before each subsequent burning of the candle, cut the wick to a length of approximately 0.5 cm. Thanks to this, the candle will burn evenly, the flame will be of the right length and it will not smoke.
Has your candle burned out?
After the candle burns out, remove the wax residue by pouring hot water over the glass. After a few minutes, the wax will melt and you can clean the glass with a paper towel. Candle glass can be used as a home organizer, a cover for flowers or a lantern.
If you don’t need the glass, you can send it back to us and you’ll get a discount on a new Leisure candle in return. The glass will be cleaned and we will give it a new life.
