Their warm light gives the interior a cozy atmosphere, and unique fragrance compositions will help you relax after a hard day. In addition, natural candles bring many benefits. They are made from raw materials from sustainable sources, and burning them is healthier for people and the environment.
Awareness of the raw materials and production processes of the products we surround ourselves with is becoming greater. We reach for products that are made in a sustainable way and from raw materials from sustainable sources. This also applies to scented candles, which is why natural candles have become so popular in recent years. Paraffin candles available in chain stores are made from harmful substances, because paraffin is obtained from crude oil. When choosing another scented candle, pay attention to the composition from which it was made, to be sure that you and your loved ones are not inhaling harmful substances.
The most common natural candles are those made from soy wax or beeswax. As candle manufacturers, we decided to use rapeseed wax, which is much more difficult to process than other waxes. Rapeseed wax is produced from rapeseed, which is a 100% renewable and biodegradable plant. Rapeseed is grown without the use of GMOs. European rapeseed cultivation means that its delivery to our studio generates less carbon dioxide. The situation is different with soy candles. Most soy wax available on the market comes from South America, so when buying another candle, pay attention to its composition.
Candles made of natural wax have a higher melting point than paraffin candles, so you will be able to enjoy them for much longer. They do not emit harmful substances when burning. Additionally, they conduct scent very well. Both when cold – when the candle is not burning, and when warm – allowing you to fill the entire house with your favorite scent.
We decided to give up using some essential oils. Due to the fact that most of them are not suitable for heating to the temperature that the candle produces when burning. When buying a LEISURE scented candle, you can be sure that the fragrance composition has been tested and has an IFRA certificate. Each candle has a list of allergens contained in it, only the best brands producing candles can boast such information due to the high cost of developing such data.
The process of creating natural scented candles is a real art. Each of our candles is handmade in Poland, in a traditional craftsman\’s way. During this process, all stages of production are performed by hand. We use carefully selected raw materials to produce natural candles, in order to guarantee the highest quality products.
To produce natural candles, we use rapeseed wax, cotton wick and fragrance oils. Each stage is done by hand. The first is melting the wax and adding a fragrance composition to it. The next stage is pouring the liquid wax into the glass. When the wax hardens, it is time to clean the glass, cut the wick and label it. The final stage is packing the finished product into a box. The entire process is carefully done by people with many years of experience, in order to guarantee you the best product.
The use of natural raw materials for the production of scented candles means that they require appropriate treatment. To enjoy your favorite natural candle for as long as possible, remember the following rules:
